I’m going to upgrade my Inokim OX Super (Scooter) - LG 60V 21Ah battery / 1000W Brushless Hub Motor.
I’m not entirely sure why I decided to upgrade to a VESC, but a big reason is that I want to be able to connect via Bluetooth and have the ability to choose between different profiles. For example, Profile 1 could be locked at 20 km/h, and Profile 2 could allow speeds up to 60 km/h.
I’m learning as I go here. I know how to solder and have no issues with installing the BMS, etc.
Here are the parts I have so far:
- Daly BMS 18650 battery (16S 60V, 80A for lithium batteries)
- Single Ubox Aluminum Lite Controller (100V, 100A, based on VESC with Bluetooth)
- 120A fuse
- Latching power button
- PPM cable
- CAN bus cable
- Hall sensor cable
- 5-pin ignition port cable
- Multifunction cable (UART & ADC)
- NRF port cable
I also got a Controller Box for the Inokim OXO, which is the plastic box mounted in the front, so I’ll have a lot of space to work with.
I plan to buy a Two-way Throttle SPIN-Y2 for DIY e-scooter/e-bike and an Ewheel ADC Adapter V3 for DIY e-bike/e-scooter with VESC.
I’m new to this and learning as I go. I’d appreciate any input regarding the hardware. Am I missing anything? I’m not aiming for extremely high speeds, but I want Bluetooth access and the ability to monitor the scooter’s performance.
Thank you.
