How to differenciate between different rails ("How can I tell if a rail is for an XR, Pint or GT?")

A few people entering the sport/hobby may have questions about what rails belong to what, or if certain rails are compatible with what.

This topic aims to help address this question.

XR:

Very easy to spot. One hole in the front on each side, and the axle bolts are at a distance from each other. Some rails have two smaller holes in between for inner-axle bolts.

Pint:

Generally smaller than the other rails, they have both power button and charger on one side, and two holes for the axle bolts close together. They tend to be quite thin and frail.

(These have two smaller holes on the outside for “Rail Badges”. Stock rails won’t have these.)

GT:

Similar to the Pint, but they are considerably larger and have one hole in each rail, one in the front on one rail, and one in the back for the other rail. Both have a similar axle bolt layout to the Pint as well.

XRC:

Similar to GT, but having the similar thickness to an XR rail, but with off-center holes.

ADV:

ADV rails tend to be pretty thick, have a similar axle bolt configuration to the XR with the distinct feature of both the charge and power button holes on one rail, and close together. ADV2 rails also tend to be labeled as ADV rails.
