I just installed my gtv kit a few days ago and the first time I went to charge my battery i plugged in my stock onewheel gt charger and i unplugged it a few hours later and when I turned it on it kept giving me a battery overcharged warning on both the Vesc tool app and the float control app.
Then I realized the next day that my battery level on both of those apps is very different. Like when the float control app says I have 80% battery the Vesc tool app will say I have 60%.
I never charged my gt battery over 90% since it was new and I didn’t realize with this kit I can’t limit the charging to 90% through the app but i definitely didn’t don’t know what to do with it overcharging like this. Do you guys have any suggestions?
What is the reported battery voltage in vesc tool?
Something may just be misconfigured in software. Does the GTV have a way to read the voltage on individual cells?
check your settings in the vesc tool, I had the same issue due to the max voltage being set too low by default. I can’t for the life of me remember which tab it is under but hopefully someone with more knowledge will point you in the right direction
