I ordered this 5v led strip from Amazon and was curious if i can power it via the FOCer’s 5v output. I would cut the strip down to like 6” so I can use it as a headlight. Not worried about turning it on or off manually or adding a second strip in the rear.
From my research, it is not recommended as LED is power intensive and can affect the performance of your VESC. All the diagrams I have seen use BEC off battery wire as there is extra power available to not affect the demands of the VESC/motor.
